CopySafe PBV

The CopySafe PBV system is for sites such as online auctions where members can upload and manage their pages from online forms. No software is needed and the pages are fully editable. The system will allow JPG, GIF and Animated Gifs to be uploaded and encrypted, adding them to a database from which they can be displayed online according to settings and rules controlled by your webmaster and the user to their individual preferences. Visitors are free to browse, but are not able to copy the images in any way. Encrypted images are safe because the files on the server cannot be viewed away from the web site, even by the webmaster.

PBV runs from an NT web site enabling visitors/members to upload images directly from their hard drive. It is fully compatible with Frontpage, databases, shopping carts and e-commerce gateways. Accounts can be established for members to upload to their section, which has an admin for monitoring usage, modifying templates, adding extra content such as banners and logos, updating entries, managing access, etc.

User Admin

When a new member registers, a new account is created by the webmaster's tool that will record the user's details and set the account parameters, for example:

Set and modify username and password for the new account
Automatic creation of the user's folder and support files
Number of page views allowed until the account expires
The low threshold at which the user is sent a renewal notice
Maximum file size allowed to upload
Keep a record of and history of the client and support calls
Suspend and re-enable an account
View account page views and daily hits
Set standard headers and footers for the PBV admin pages
Modify master templates for the headers and footers of the user's pages

Owner Admin

Once the login details are received the user can then login to their admin page and add images from their local computer. From the user's admin page the following functions can be performed:

View a record of the images, status of views and daily hits per image
Upload and add images to be displayed on individual pages
Configure images for size, border frames and loading text messages
Set the colors of individual image page background, text and links
Add a clickable hyperlink to the image to return visitors to any set page
Add text or images above or below the image for their own page look
Have the server send an account status report including a link inventory

Currently the CopySafe PBV system can be installed "off the shelf" to any web site that has FrontPage extensions installed. You do not need to have your own web server, just a web site and a friendly webmaster to help with the initial setting of permissions on your files. Pricing for the CopySafe PBV can be given upon application describing your intended use. Special compilations are also possible for installations on Unix or Linux web sites.
