CopySafe
Pro features
(the
program window below is reproduced at a reduced scale to fit the
page)

Batch
import of images
File import
supports multiple selection - you use Control and Shift click
to select images in batches, or select a folder and CopySafe will
import all the images in that folder regardless of how many. When
loaded into the CopySafe directory you have the option of selecting
some or all images in the list to configure in batches or creating
individual settings.
Saving
large batches of images
When
you have finished adjusting the size, image effects or targeted
link, borders, colors and loading text messages to be displayed,
click the Convert button. The next window will ask for a folder
location to save into. CopySafe will encrypt and save more than 3000
images with just one click, saving them all to one page, or to newly
created web pages for each individual image. Each image will
displayed with its image name underneath.
Configuring
the image settings
When
you highlight an individual image you can then click the Configure
button to set the image display preferences. To select all
images listed you can use the Select All button. All the images
highlighted can be encrypted on the one command - clicking the Convert
button. You can also use Shift or Cntrl select to select groups of
images. When importing, if a folder is selected, CopySafe will sort
the content and import all the suitable images in that folder.
Selecting
display styles
After
selecting the images that you want to use, click on the CONFIGURE
button. A preferences window will open in relation to the image
that you have selected in the directory window. Select
from the dropdown list the style of display that you wish
for the selected image. When converting a batch of images many
variations are possible:
Static image with no tricks.
Image
hyperlink to the next page using a targeted frame.
Begin with
an image and display product information on mouse over.
Begin with a
text message and show the image on mouse over.
Swap one
image for another on mouse over.

When Targeted
Link is selected you can nominate in which frame to open the
link by clicking the small box beside the link entry. If the
visitor uses either right or left mouse buttons on the image
they will activate the hyperlink. If a link is not needed simply
leave the link field completely blank.

When
selecting Text to image or Image to text you must
set the text to be displayed in the Text box at the
bottom. The text messages are of a fixed font and will appear as
a paragraph. The text will automatically wrap inside the image
area and be centered. The limit of how much text will fit
depends on the image area. If you try to put too much into a
small image area the message will be cropped. The text message
is an option for a quick message. If you need more control over
the look it is recommended to use swap image.
Image
to image involves two separate images and a larger download.
Care should be taken not to overdo it. Two images are loaded and
alternated on MouseOver actions. The second image is displayed
automatically at the same size as the first image. It is
recommended to use images of the same proportions to avoid
distortion. When using "swap image" failing to
nominate the second image will cause the applet to fail. When
configuring the image properties for "swap image" a
preview of the second image nominated is shown.

Several
message areas are available to present navigation hints, exhibit
particulars or purchasing instructions. A message can be shown in
the image area as the pic downloads, in the status bar on mouse over
and also in the image area on MouseOver.
Border size
To set a frame
around the image set the width in pixels. If no border frame is
required leave this option set to 0.
Border
color
To nominate
the color to be used in the frame. It is also the color of the
applet as seen until the image is downloaded.
Image
scaling
You can scale
the image by entering a percentage. Same size is equal to 100%. The
current pixel size of the image will appear above the image preview.
Text
message color
This is for
the text message that is displayed while the image is being
downloaded to your visitor's browser. For legibility set the color
to contrast with the Border Color selected.
Image
loading message
This option
sets the message to be displayed while the image is being
downloaded from your website into the visitor's browser. The text
appears in a band across the downloading image.
Status bar
message
Here you can
set a text message to be displayed in the status bar at the bottom
of the browser window. The message will appear when the mouse is
passed over the image. This is most useful for displaying the name
of the artwork or the artist.
Clickable
image link
This option
can be used in the Standard option to set a hyperlink that will be
activated when the visitor clicks on the image. If a link is not
required simply leave this area blank. The small button to the right
is to set a target frame for navigating within framesets.

Encryption
The
most important area that image encryption protects is the
downloading of the image by direct means after locating its path.
CopySafe encrypted images are safe on the server because they cannot
be viewed away from the registered web site. They are secure in the
Temporary Internet Folder or Cache, and even safe from your server's
webmaster.
Domain
Lock - when only one web site is nominated, the image can only
be viewed online from that web site and nowhere else. The image is
not viewable locally.
All
registered sites - where several sites are registered and used
with the one program, the same image can be viewed online from each
of the listed sites. The image is not viewable locally.
No
encryption - when no image encryption is used the image remains
as the original. It offers the least protection, but you can update
the images by simply replacing the image on your site. They do not
need reconverting each time an edit is made.
Editing
pages
The
new page can be used as template to copy the image applet from for
pasting onto existing pages with prepared copy. Or it can be used as
the start page to build upon by adding extra images and text, etc.
Customizing
the template
If
you want to save time with batches, especially if all your pages
need to have the same header and footer information, the template
file can be edited to any look that you want. CopySafe
will insert your image at the position of the insert code.
Uploading
When
your pages are finished with the extra content added, simply upload
them to your web site, ensuring that all the files produced by the
program are in the same folder. It is that simple. Your original
images are no longer needed and should not be on your web site.
Plugin
support
ArtistScope
maintain several severs around the world for distribution and
downloads of the plugin, which are provided free and automatically
to visitors to your web pages. Each time a visitor loads a page
their plugin is checked to maintain security, and also that they
have the latest upgrade to keep abreast of technology and any new
threats that may arise. If the visitor does not have the plugin
installed, or it is an older version, they are automatically updated
before being permitted to view your protected content.
